Nanchang’s Zhongshan Road is known as a shopping district, but the road may extend beyond the shopping area and into a commercial district. Perhaps the factory is near Zhongshan Road, but not actually on it.

So this street is only full of shops? I was talking to someone who reckons there manufacturing plant is there. They sent me photos of the building and these photos do not look like they in a busy shopping street. IM guessing IM talking to a scammer grrr

I saw the sign just outide the hong ke long departmant store on zhongshan lu but t’was the day before i headed back to the uk for a jolly – now i’m back in the big smoke i’ll investigate and put my findings on nanchanglife and/or sunnynanchang

Hi Liu,

I expect you are right. IKEA is a big company and I think they would open a giant blue store IF anything.

My friend told me that there is an IKEA sign near Zhong Shan Road, but I don’t know the exact location. She said it was in a small street and not actually on Zhong Shan Road. I also heard that this shop has the IKEA catalogue so if you want to order something, they will deliver in about a week.

Even if it is not a real IKEA shop, I like that we can order from the catalogue. Maybe I will not shop there much, but I know IKEA is very popular. I’ve seen a few shops that have items from there, but I think catalogue sales are not usual.

I will try to find this store after my holiday—probably in March or April. In the meantime, do you know where people can buy IKEA products around Nanchang?

there is no ikea in nanchang, but some small shops sell some ikea things which are bought from beijing, shanghai or guangzhou.
