Trapped at 6:30 AM
I got started at bit late last night — 10:30 pm, to be exact — determined to do some research online before bed. No, I’m not going to stay up too too late. So I joined some of my friends at the computer centre at TUT. These young men and women manage the websites for this school in addition to corporate websites for local companies; their office is a fun place to hang out and socialize as much as it’s a nice place to work.
The building where we’re located is locked at 11 PM. I can’t say I know what their fire plan is around here, but only a couple people have a key to slip out quietly after hours. By 2 AM it’s about time to call it a night. While I’m logging out of email, my friend with a key slips out the the bathroom, I presume. Tick tock tick tock. Time keeps slipping away making it abundantly clear he’s either left the building or gone to sleep somewhere. So this is where I find myself at 6:30 AM. I think the building doors might be unlocked soon so I can finally go home and grab some rest.
I wonder what would happen if the security workers discovered me sleeping in a doorway…

Extension cord- 4 dollars

Moments after writing my last entry, I stood up and said goodbye to the only other determined computer user left in the office. Knowing that doors are locked until morning, I waited patiently until 6:30 AM when I figured the doors would be unlocked. As I stood up and said goodbye, the fellow in the office told me that the door would probably still be locked so he’d let me out. I said “pardon?” [...]
