Fantastic fireworks
I’m a bit late in blogging, due the unexpected and sudden disconnection of my internet connection in my dorm. Happy Chinese New Year!

Fireworks light up above the streets of Tianjin, China
January 29th marked the first day of the traditional Chinese Lunar Calendar. The skies over Tianjin lit up with the most spectacular fireworks I have ever witnessed. Each time I try to write about it, I simply find words come up short. The whole event is really one that must be seen to be believed. I did put my new camera and tripod to use in an attempt to capture some of the scenes.

In the next few days I am planning to travel to ChengDu, the capital city of Suchuan province. I will try to keep writing from wherever the journey takes me before I return to class in Tianjin on Feb 20th.

I get the fireworks, and you get to be surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Travel is such a great way to open our minds to the world around us.
Miss you guys too! ^_^
