The power of one
Who ever said one person can’t make a difference?
CBC report: MP Chuck Cadman is worried that bringing down the government could give strength to separatist feelings in Québec
“I just can’t see things lasting much longer,” he told CBC in an interview from his home in the British Columbia riding of Surrey North, where he was recovering from a cancer treatment earlier in the week.
“It’s just sunken so low. That’s got to be factored into any decision I make, because what’s going on in Ottawa isn’t doing anybody any good.”
On the one hand, he says voting with the Conservative-Bloc coalition disturbs him because it could give strength to separatist feelings in Quebec.
[Totally unrelated editor's note: Why is it that the CBC, of all organizations, doesn't put the accent aigu (é instead of e) in words like Québec?]
