Earlier today I was thinking about my excitement in having the chance to meet him in person. Regardless of your political stripes, there is something interesting and nationalistic about meeting the head of the state. Stephen Harper attended the opening ceremony only the day before and, while I didn&#039;t get to meet him, having seen each leader gives me a different sense of what intensity must be present in the parliamentary debates. I&#039;ve watched some debates on CSPAN and only recently did I realize how narrow is the isle that separates the party in power from the opposition.</description>
